Mapping the optional data columns

Once you have mapped your mandatory column headers, you can continue to map your columns using the additional AlphaVAT headers available in the drop-down list.

These are optional and will enable you to collect additional information that will be included in the associated transaction report statements, which can provide useful supplementary disclosure. When you have finished mapping your columns:

1. Select the Close and continue button.

2. This will take you back to the Map data tab, where you will see a list of all the column headings you have mapped to the AlphaVAT headers.  

3. For any optional column headings that you have chosen to include in your mapping, there will be a toggle displayed under the Show in report? column that you can use to include or exclude that data from your reports.  The default selection is set to include the data in your reports.  Since the Net and VAT data is mandatory, these will automatically be shown in your calculation reports.

4. Once you have mapped your column headings for your first uploaded file, you can move onto the other uploaded file(s).

5. When have finished mapping the column headings for all uploaded files and you have set up any required foreign exchange currency conversions, click on the Save and map files button.  This will take you to the Map files tab.
