Allocation steps |
You can access the Allocation steps screen by clicking on the Save and continue button from the Recovery methods screen or by selecting the Manage steps option on the main My Sectors screen. You can now specify how any indirect residual VAT should be allocated between your sectors, which can be done by adding the allocation steps, as necessary. Step 1This step is used to split the residual indirect VAT into groups/departments, ready for allocation between sectors. The first step will automatically appear on the Allocation steps screen. You can now provide a name and description, and choose the calculation from the drop down list. Once this is done, click on the Save step button. You can now set up step 2 by clicking on the Add Step button. Step 2This step is used to assign the total residual indirect VAT for each group/department between the sectors created. Once you have provided a name and description, you will need to select the allocation method and upload your file containing the allocation method table required for the calculation. Subsequent stepsAdd in any further steps as required to reallocate amounts from sectors to other sectors by uploading subsequent allocation method tables, where the total residual indirect VAT per sector is based on the step before. In the example above, 5% of Sector 2 residual input VAT from the previous step has been reassigned to Sector 1. |
