2. End user licence agreement overview

What is it?

The End User Licence Agreement (EULA) forms part of the software contract between our customer, the Licencee, and Tax System’s, the Licensor.

It forms part of the main software contract under clause 4.2 and contains the terms and conditions for end users that have access to and are using the system and its applications (AlphaBridge, AlphaVAT and AlphaLink).

This is an industry standard licence agreement between Tax Systems and the end user of our products and services and is a legally binding agreement.

How does it work?

When a user logs in for the first time following the version 2.1 upgrade, a pop up will appear asking the user to accept the terms and conditions of the EULA.

All users of the system and its applications (AlphaBridge, AlphaVAT and AlphaLink) are required to accept the EULA in order to access and use the MTD Compliance system.

If the user does not accept the EULA, they will not be able to access the software, instead they will be taken back to the log in screen.  When the user next logs into the system, they will again be presented with the EULA and will only be able to proceed upon acceptance.

Frequency and updates

Enforcement of the EULA was introduced in the system version 2.1 release.  Accepting the EULA terms and conditions will be a one-time action required by users until such time as the terms and conditions within the EULA change.

In future, it may be necessary for the Tax Systems to update the EULA terms and conditions.

Should this happen, users will again be required to accept the updated EULA as a one-time action when they log into the system following the system upgrade that introduces the updated EULA Terms and Conditions.
